From June 14 to 30, Barcelona will be painted with rainbow colors, because of the celebration of GAY PRIDE BARCELONA 2018, the 11th edition which will come with lots of activities, workshops and parties. The Avenida María Cristina will become the heart of GAY PRIDE BARCELONA 2018 and will have 3 main spaces: Pride Village with LGTBI associations, talks, activities and of course a large restaurant area with food trucks and other attractions; Pride Kids with activities for families; the Main Stage with music, dance competitions, Drag Queen race, Djs and concerts. GAY PRIDE BARCELONA 2018 will also take over the Moll de la Fusta, where it took place last year, to the spacious avenue of Montjuïc. For more than a week, this space and other sites in the so-called Gaixample will host more than 100 events, including concerts, races, sports classes and Saturday demonstrations. Under the motto "All my loving" Pride Barcelona wants to vindicate the pride of this festival and will focus its claims on defending the rights of LGTBI refugees.
On June 28, in the heart of GAY PRIDE BARCELONA 2018, several emblematic buildings of the city such as the Torre Glòries, Casa Batlló or El Molino will be illuminated with the colors of the rainbow. The main activity of the Barcelona Pride, the parade on June 30, will start in the Park of Les Tres Xemeneies, crossing the avenue of the Paral·lel and arriving at the avenue María Cristina. Among the GAY PRIDE BARCELONA 2018 activities will stand out the traditional "Heel Race", which will be held on June 29, and the "Barcelona Drag Queen Race".
The promotion of the sport is one of the novelties of the GAY PRIDE BARCELONA 2018 with an important appointment on Saturday from 11 am to noon with a Masterclass by Magali Dalix, the athlete and creator of the well-known high-performance training method Magali Train Better, whose goal is to beat an attendance sports record. From noon to 15pm the first Pride Dance will take place, a spectacular competition, where the best dance schools and groups will participate.
The artists performing given will include the Eurovision 2014 winner Conchita Wurst, the Eurovision 2012 winner Loreen, as well as Gala, La Prohibida, Ms Nina and King Jedet, among others. The authorities has assured that "it promises to be one of the biggest GAY PRIDE celebrations in Barcelona ".
